Enhancing Democracy in the Czech Republic – 2020

The goal of our Interactive Qualifying Project was to advocate for and promote Czech democracy by creating a documentary highlighting the current threats to democracy in the Czech Republic. Our project examines Czech struggles for democratic self-determination amidst ongoing government corruption, what is meant by the term “democracy,” and current measures to combat growing authoritarianism in Eastern Europe. By gathering information from democratic non-governmental organizations and Czech students, we created a civic educational video to raise awareness about these political issues and encourage Czech citizens to be active members of their political communities.
