Promoting Sustainable Tourism in Prague

Prague is a city that brings in millions of tourists every year. Many businesses exist in Prague to cater only to tourists. This over-commercialization can unfortunately lead to a dilution of Czech culture. Tourists may have the wrong impression of Prague, that it is simply a place to buy cheap beer and experience cheap attractions. Our project worked to develop a website that would share authentic attractions with tourists and to showcase real Czech culture. Our team analyzed existing websites, interviewed locals, surveyed the public, and investigated over 600 Prague businesses and attractions. We created a website (realprague.org) promoting culturally-authentic attractions. Our final report provides further details on our project.
